WHAT IS IT?
Simply, it is a canoe stabilizer, intended to prevent any standard size canoe from capsizing.
This particular design, made of wood and fibreglass handcrafted in the traditional North American canoe style.
What's unique about the Canoe Buddy Buoy is that the mounting platform gives the user a 5' x 7' foot surface area. This extra space allows the user to store extra gear or use it as a swimming and fishing platform and best of all allows for a special two person tent with fly to be secured for on the water shelter.
The Canoe Buddy Buoy is a hollow canoe shaped pontoon made of a wood core and fibreglass shell with a water tight lid.
The hollow space provides storage for the Canoe Buddy Buoy components when not in use and an extra storage compartment when fully assembled. The pontoon also features two utility compartments at each end for ropes, bungee cords, etc..
The added stability of the pontoon not only gives the user peace of mind when travelling in a canoe, but also allows for multiple configurations including a fishing platform and with its easy in and out access, makes it perfect for swimming.
